“There are not many companies in Hungary like Bekomold!”

I attained my GCSE in 2013 at Öveges József Vocational Secondary School, where I spent 1.5 years as an apprentice of Bekomold Kft. within the framework of my dual vocational training. I really liked the company culture, the plant, the working environment – especially the cleanliness – and the colleagues from whom I learned a lot – many of them have since retired. I wanted to stay after finishing school as well because there are not many factories in Hungary like ours. I was given the opportunity to join the CNC lathe group, where I completed a CNC machining training course shortly after joining, with the support of the company.
I learned how to set up the machines, and 3 years later, I was enrolled in CAM programming training. The company was always there for me, my superiors supported my professional development all the way, which still has not come to an end. I am constantly improving, there is always a new professional challenge – which is why I love my job. I also had success previously, as a machine setter, as the result of our work was tangible. Programming also has its beauty. Since been working as a programmer, I have had to see things in a much more complex way, I have to consult with the machine operators a lot, I have to think with their heads, and I have to be familiar with their language as well.

One of the most memorable moments of my time here so far was when we presented a retiring lathe operator foreman with a chess set of our own design and manufacture. We designed and manufactured the chess pieces ourselves, on our own machines. I always look back fondly on company events, the joint cooking sessions and community events.


Why would you recommend the company to others?

We are not a mass-production company, we only produce one-offs or at most small batches, which offers everyone a great opportunity for professional development, as we are constantly facing new challenges. Other than that, I would also highlight the working environment: cleanliness and a civilised working environment are very important.
