I joined Bekomold via a student employment agency in 2018, when I was still in secondary school. With both my father and brother working here, I was able to adapt to the company quite easily. I had been on a factory visit to Bekomold before, so I was able to get an overview and local knowledge very quickly, which made it easier to gain experience in IT later on. My reception was very pleasant and smooth.
My first job was in IT and I am still working here as an IT administrator. I had a very good first 2 years, I was able to learn a lot of useful new information with the help of my direct colleague, Attila, whom I considered to be my mentor. The real challenge came in the summer of 2019, when the IT department was faced with a serious technical problem caused by a virus attack, which we successfully averted.
I have improved a lot in everything. There are so many branches of IT, and it is good to develop your own skills in other areas, such as scripting and networking. Getting the basics right is just as important here as in any other job, which you can build on “brick-by-brick”.
I find it a huge plus that the company also supports my further education, which I benefit from every day thanks to my personal knowledge. I like my job because of the atmosphere, the communication and the contacts I have made at work.
The biggest challenge for me is when I need to be able to solve new tasks by researching or gathering information that I have not encountered before.
The most memorable moment of my time here so far was the success we had in getting the IT systems back up and running smoothly after the virus attack, which took a lot of effort and perseverance from all of us, but personally, I learned a lot.
Why would you recommend the company to others?
The company also provides students with the conditions a young person wants. I started working for the company as a student for other reasons, which I do not regret, because I really like the working environment and atmosphere here.
