“This is a profession that is a rarity not only in Hungary, but worldwide.”

I started working as a machine operator at Bekomold Kft. in 2013. I came to the company by way of recommendation, having previously worked at Audi in Győr, where I completed a course in machining. The change seemed like a good opportunity, because I could test myself professionally in a field that seemed interesting and is a rare profession in Hungary – and even worldwide. I am an introvert and find it hard to change from the familiar environment, so it was difficult to get used to the new environment in the beginning, but I was soon assigned a mentor who made it easier to adapt.
In time, my mentor at the time became a team leader and was given a huge career opportunity in technology within the company, so the production team leader position became vacant, and I was asked to take it on. I was not afraid of the challenges, but I was a bit worried about the new role, about how I would balance my managerial responsibilities with other tasks to keep production running smoothly. But this was 4 years ago. I consider myself a meticulous person, so I always strive to perform to the best of my ability, which is essential in our profession.

I have developed a lot here at the company, professionally anyway, as I was completely new to tool-making, and especially to CNC equipment. On the other hand, I also had to develop a lot as a team leader because it is very important to communicate with people. I have put a lot of conscious effort into progressing in this area, but I still have a lot to learn.

I like my job because I get to do interesting and beautiful things, and there are always new challenges. I encounter my “job” every day when I open a milk carton or a soda bottle. We test the finished tools in-house, so I get to see the end result I contributed to first hand.
Of the most memorable moments of my time here so far, apart from professional success, I should definitely mention the team-building trainings and family days.


Why would you recommend the company to others?

It gives us a lot of security that the company is very stable, because even in critical times we were fortunate to be able to work continuously, unlike many other companies in the industry. We are financially valued, we are always paid on time, and we are surrounded by a highly predictable environment.
